As Director of MIG's Native Nation Building Studio, his work focuses on the power of co-creation and inclusive community-based design and planning that is culturally sensitive. For José, supporting Native community self-determination and capacity building are critical goals. José uses landscape architecture to uncover, explore, and reflect hidden truths that can lead to healing, restoration, and a better path forward.
