A strong believer in shared outdoor space as a vehicle to strengthen community, Kate places stakeholder voices at the center of design. Her participatory practice helps communities craft solutions that optimize funding to meet the multigenerational needs of their neighborhood while mitigating larger cloudburst and heat challenges at the city scale.
From plazas to playgrounds, she is always inspired by the concept of play. She believes joyful spaces should welcome and engage visitors of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.
Kate lives in Brooklyn, where you can find her in Prospect Park with her family, wandering meadows and rolling down hills.
