Jimmy Kashi is serving a life sentence at Oregon State Penitentiary. He is the current President of the Asian Pacific Family Club and founding member of the Memorial Healing Garden and helped to raise the funding for and construct the garden in 2019. He continues to work in the garden and met his brother whom he had not seen in many years in the garden after he was released from the mental health clinic. Jimmy lives by the club’s motto “Diminishing Boundaries and Overcoming Differences.”
