Biographer of H. W. S. Cleveland, author of A Few Hints on Rural Cemeteries and designer of Minneapolis Park System and several cemeteries in the eastern United States, including Sleepy Hollow in Concord, Massachuestts. Clevelancd is buried at Lakewood. Co-author, with Carole Zellie, Landscape Research, of a design history of Lakewood.
