Sr.Landscape Architect
City of St. Paul Parks and Recreation
St. Paul, Minnesota
Ellen's circuitous path to landscape architecture includes study and work in psychology and sociology, which provides a unique lens on her practice. Ellen is passionate about the opportunities public landscape architecture has to help people better understand the intersection of environment and culture. After practicing in the private sector, she now works for the City of Saint Paul on master plan and construction projects that ensure equity, access to green space, and authentic community engagement. The work that is most significant to her involves bringing together multiple stakeholders within a framework of cultural equity, ecology, reparations and community.
