The Black Landscape Architects Network Annual Event
Saturday, October 28, 2023
6:00pm – 9:00pm CT
The Black Landscape Architects Network (BlackLAN) is excited to invite friends and colleagues for an evening of food, drink, and conversations at JUXTAPOSITION ARTS in North Minneapolis.
Held annually, the event is the largest gathering of Black landscape architecture students, professionals, and supporters during the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) annual National Conference.
Visit colleagues and learn about BlackLAN initiatives, including the 2023 Day of Service activity, which will be on exhibition.
We are pleased to announce that BlackLAN community members Torey Carter-Conneen, ASLA CEO, and Kona Gray, FASLA and ASLA President-Elect, will be in attendance. They will present an overview of their work at ASLA, and the importance of Black design voices in shaping the future of practice and the built environment.
Roger Cummings, Chief Cultural Producer, will welcome BlackLAN and guests on behalf of Juxtaposition Arts.
BlackLAN President Marc Miller will share BlackLAN's year of success and future outlooks.
