Landscape architects have championed inclusive play destinations for years, however, there has been a lack of research to help make a valid, data driven case. Do these outdoor environments really change the possibility of enhanced play experiences? Can the environmental design impact play behaviors between children of all abilities? List at least five evidence-based design best practices that thoughtfully support the developmental needs of individuals of all abilities and that foster positive play experiences for indivduals of all abilities in outdoor inclusive park destinations.
Summarize research findings of usage and play behaviors in thoughtfully designed outdoor inclusive play and recreation settings.
Create an advocacy statement to raise awareness and support inclusive play and recreation opportunities for diverse communities.
