Moira O’Neill, Senior Vice President of Research Interpretation at the FrameWorks Institute, will present recommendations from a multi-year study, commissioned by ASLA, CLARB, LAAB and LAF, to identify effective strategies for communicating the scope and value of landscape architecture to the public.
During the session, she will (1) briefly introduce participants the theoretical and methodological approach to the study; (2) highlight key findings related to effectively communicating about landscape architecture; (3) offer suggestions about what language to use, what to avoid, and why; (4) and will include time for participants to practice using the research in their own communications.
