Join fellow student sketching enthusiasts for on-location sketching in the heart of Minneapolis. Explore the downtown streetscape and urban fabric to discover its unique character one sketch at a time. Bring your favorite drawing utensils and comfortable walking shoes. Sketchbooks will be provided to the first 100 students to sign up.
Along the walk, Session Leaders will provide informative insights and approaches to composition, simplifying detail, and editing to make your sketches less rigid, more spontaneous, and readable.
1:00 PM - START at Stone Arch Bridge/Mill Ruins Park (intersection of W. River Parkway and Portland Ave.) 5:00 PM - END at Convention Center - Conference registration booths are located in the convention center lobby so you can register or pick up your conference badge before the conference starts on Friday.
Post walk “Sketch Throwdown” social at 7:00 PM at Brit’s Pub, 1110 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN. You must bring your sketchbook as your admission ticket to the social.
